BITRE data has been updated to May for top airline routes:

The post-pandemic convergence of numbers from MEL and SYD can probably best be explained by the loss of international passengers on domestic routes.

April and May were the first reasonable recovery comparison months we have before recent lockdowns. I would now be less confident in the Cairns outlook than I was.
