MILF hotspots in Cairns
ABS last week updated regional employment estimates by age and sex. Once upon a time prominent populist demographer Bernard Salt headlined the Cairns Post with a “man drought” in Cairns. There is a lot to look at in this data particularly related to employment statistics but a quick look at the sex data over the Cairns Urban area:
Quite a spread between 108.9% in Cairns City and 89.8% in Freshwater-Stratford. This is the urban area = Cairns-North + Cairns-South SA3. Tabulated for the SA4 region:

This supports my ongoing theme that Cairns is differentiated from regional North Queensland. Over 5 years the Cairns Urban ratio has fallen by 1.1 with the larger decline in Cairns-North.
