Passengers through Cairns Airport remained meagre in May but nudged just slightly higher than April. There were 151 international passengers recorded in May comprising 56 arrivals and 95 departures. Best to just stick to domestic traffic for now:

If there is any consolation the 95.7% domestic fall in May from the previous year outperformed Sydney where domestic traffic fell 97.2%. Maybe the best approach in coming months will be to graphically monitor traffic density on Flightradar24:
