Non-residential building has been a significant driver of activity in recent years. This can be lumpy around large projects and shown here is a 12 month moving average. The Nova project is still out there in never-never land but has washed through the 12 month approvals average some time ago. A delayed start is imminent on the convention centre expansion which seems to have become a political football. It wouldn’t surprise to see the private sector project pipeline start to turn down post covid.
