Population dilemma
SA2 Regional population data from ABS to June 2019:

A few things:
- Population growth in Cairns slowed further from previous growth rates and has continued to slow now over the most recent years to concerning levels well prior to recent turmoil.
- Does anyone wonder why congestion on the Captain Cook Highway is an issue?
- What does it mean when the “official” Labour Force Survey from ABS indicates a massive boom in employment coincident with declines in population growth?
Just asking?
What happened in Yarrabah? Trinity Beach and Smithfield is obvious with the amount of development that went on, but Yarrabah.

Theo, Yarrabah will be natural population increase. This is consistent with population increases in most indigenous communities with high rates of births, and also may I add lower life expectancy. This is similar to communities on the Cape.
