Reef Corporate Services Limited, as responsible entity of Reef Casino Trust, owners of the Reef Hotel Casino, advises that the Reef Hotel Casino operations in Cairns closed today following the Australian Government’s announcement overnight mandating the immediate closure of all licensed clubs, pubs, cinemas, casinos, nightclubs and places of worship following recent developments in the outbreak of COVID-19.
We are now focussed on working through the implications of this closure with the operator of the Reef Hotel Casino complex, Casinos Austria International (Cairns) Pty Ltd.

After reviewing Australian and NZ government advice with regards to non-essential services and social distancing all EXP operations have been suspended indefinitely. This will be reviewed on a weekly basis. The safety of the broader community, our customers, staff members and contractor workforce is our number one priority.

Paul Thompson, Managing Director of Select Harvests, has confirmed all Select Harvests’ facilities and almond harvest will continue to operate. They are exempt from the lockdowns and border restrictions recently announced by the State and Federal Governments.
