October EGM pokie numbers continue some recent trends. Growth in the Cairns Regional Council area has pulled back to the Queensland average or below in recent months and below the lagging annual growth.

The spread between Cairns and Townsville in annual growth continues to widen.

Interest though will be in what happens to the Townsville numbers when the February flood anniversary rolls through. I suspect the monthly growth numbers could return towards zero (or below) just as fast as they took off following that event.
